F train asian girl past midnight
I was headed downtown on my way to yet another party and was sleeping on the train. Somewhere along the line you got on. I woke up around 42nd street and saw the most beautiful sight. You munching on your cart food. You were tearing it up like those vampires do on tv. I thought it was the sexiest thing, next to your mole above your left side upper lip. I have the same mole…but smaller. I only saw you for one stop and got off at 34th. Before I left I said “That looks so good right now, I’m starving”….because I was horny for your food. I really was starving and maybe that’s why I didn’t stay on and bother you for a bite and a kiss from your lips. Your face looked kinda pretty also. After I left the train I realized what an idiot I was for not inviting you to go with me. I was a hungry sleepyhead. I was the asian next to you in a dark grey peacoat with old school combed hair. Write me back, I’d like another chance to make a fool of myself.
You look like you like metal
We both got on the L at 6th ave. You were tall as shit and had a huge beard and long hair. You got off at 1st ave, lucky for you ‘cause that guy singing beatles songs was starting to get annoying.
I sat across from you and had curly hair, glasses, and a big scarf. Just wanted to say that you’re a babe.
Crowded uptown 6 train platform at 51st St.
We both knew the first train was too full to get on. I made it onto the second train, but you missed it. Next time this happens, maybe we should just get a drink instead while the subway clears out.
Shy glances on the train home
We both got on R train around 6:15, you were staring at me through the reflection of the glass and I smiled back when you promptly blushed kept reading. We both headed to the L train and I didn’t notice you were behind me til you got off at Bedford. You were around 6’, black shoes, pants and coat, grey sweater, brown hair. I am about your height. You were writing something down at one point, kind of hoped it was your phone number.
D downtown Friday at 10:45pm - exchanged smiles
I got on the D train at 59th St. around 10:30. I have brown wavy hair and glasses, was dressed in black and a black down coat, and had an instrument case (french horn); I was with guy who had one too (clarinet), and we were chatting about orchestras and other music projects, exchanging cards. You might have heard me yakking about SXSW. Noticed you (mid-conversation) somewhere around 34th St. You were sitting opposite me in a blueish down jacket and jeans, have medium brown hair and a beard. We locked eyes and had a little smile somewhere in the midst of my conversation. Longer look and bigger smile as I got off the train at W 4th… Should have left you one of my cards, but I didn’t think that fast!
Chances of you seeing this seem slim, but if you do, would you like to get coffee sometime? You know a lot more about me than I know about you, and I’d like to remedy that.
Friday 9:40AM - morning commute
you: very tall, dark hair, skinny black jeans, hat.
me: black coat, long brown hair, glasses, jeans, overwhelmed by my large tote bag on my lap. stealing glances from across the train car. ambivalent about whether you noticed.
we were both on the same G train car and transfered to the same E train car heading into the city, although there was some distance between us.
this posting is inspired by the fact that upon exiting the train at lex, i was asked out to coffee by a stranger who was nearly 6 inches shorter than me. so, i will march blindly in his wake down the path of potential. so, hello, stranger. if you would care to get caffeinated, intoxicated, or just generally inundated with newness, i stand by to be incredibly charming.
Goldfish on the subway
You: Stunning blonde, wild, full long hair. Little or no make up. Long brown coat, black handbag, calf high boots, rainbow striped laptop case. You spoke to two girls with goldfish and brought a smile to my face.
Me: I was with my two kids, girl with white hat on, boy with grey hat, me with no hat. Glasses, short hair, black coat…could be a zillion guys. You were one in a million.
We all got off at 86th St. & Lex
I never felt such urgency to speak to someone (at least on the subway and honestly who does that?), but being with my kids it was awkward. I was blown away when you swept onto the train. Your smile filled the car; I couldn’t take my eyes off of you.
L train 11am twrds 8 ave, tall…
On the L train this morning you had tall, cumbersome and seemingly dangerous lumber or moulding of sorts. We chatted about a cute kid sharing the train car and whether are not you’d done any damage to your fellow travelers. I had curly brown hair and a furry winter hat. I kind of wanted make more conversation past my station but chickened out.
cute snowboarder on the 4 train
You were on your way home from a snowboarding trip, heading back to Brooklyn. The little kids sitting near you were fascinated by all your gear, and you were totally sweet with them… telling them all about snowboarding and letting them try on your cool googles. It was really awesome and I kind of wanted to give you a hug. I was the girl with the brown curly hair and glasses, trying not to stare. I’ve never written one of these before, but what can I say, I was quite smitten!
Young Blood
Last week on a Rockaway-bound L train, a little posse of adorable Latino skaters in gray hoodies flirted with me from across the car.
I am no doubt too old for you by a good six or seven years. Didn’t stop me from blushing! Watch out for us, you ripe, unsuspecting adolescents.
